We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. Payment information is processed by Stripe.

• Billing information, subscription status, Stripe customer identifiers, invoice identifiers, and payment/subscription event data.
• Contact form messages and support requests.

• Cloudflare Turnstile, Google reCAPTCHA, or similar anti-spam verification signals.

• When you subscribe to, preview, or receive the newsletter.
• When you create an account or manage a paid subscription.

• When you visit the website or use account settings.
• When cookies, analytics, logs, session tools, hosting services, or anti-spam tools run.
• When Stripe sends payment and subscription webhook events to Distilled Bio.

How we use information

• Process paid subscriptions, trials, cancellations, refunds, invoices, and billing-related account status.

Payments and Stripe

We use Stripe to process payments and manage subscriptions. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

Email and newsletter communications

Subscribers receive Distilled Bio newsletter emails and related transactional emails.

You can unsubscribe from marketing or newsletter emails using the unsubscribe link in the email. Transactional or account-related emails may still be sent when necessary for billing, security, subscription management, or customer support.

Contact form

When you submit the contact form, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, company, industry, role, and message. We use this information to respond to your request and provide support. Contact form submissions may be retained for support and business record purposes.

Cookies, analytics, and logs

We use Cloudflare services, including Turnstile verification, to help protect the site and forms from spam, bots, fraud, and abuse. If we add specific analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Plausible, PostHog, Vercel Analytics, Cloudflare analytics, or similar services, we will update this policy or provide notice where appropriate.

Cloudflare Turnstile and anti-spam

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help protect forms from spam, bots, fraud, and abuse. Turnstile may process technical signals such as IP address, device/browser information, and interaction signals to verify that a form submission is legitimate. We may also use Google reCAPTCHA, honeypot fields, rate limiting, logs, and similar anti-abuse controls where appropriate.

Who we share information with

We do not sell customer data. We may share information with service providers that help us run Distilled Bio, process subscriptions, send email, host infrastructure, prevent abuse, and prepare personalized briefings.

• Stripe: payment processing and subscription management.
• Resend: support, transactional, and newsletter email delivery.
• Supabase: authentication, database, account, and subscription record storage.
• DigitalOcean: virtual private server hosting and related infrastructure.
• Cloudflare: DNS, security, traffic routing, performance, bot protection, and Turnstile verification.
• OpenAI: processing article content, profile signals, and personalization inputs used to prepare and rank Distilled Bio articles.
• Google reCAPTCHA or similar tools: additional spam and abuse prevention for forms where used.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the newsletter, maintaining business records, resolving disputes, preventing abuse, and complying with legal obligations.

Contact form submissions may be retained for support and business record purposes.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices and rights
